Steam is saying you need 35GB in your hard drive.

to be safe just have 50gb of free space.

The patches to bring it up to 1.0.6 are only about 500–600 MB in total, but just keep in mind that 1.0.7 is releasing soon, and we don't know how big it will be.

Devs said it's about 1.5 gigs when they first announced it. That can be different when it releases of course.
