Most people HATE Comcast with a passion while I will admit I used to hate them a lot, I recently received my refurb D-Link DIR-860l from Newegg. I installed it ran a test to make sure I was getting at least my 50/10 or something close to that since my family pays for 50/10 from Comcast and this is what I get.

Thank god they don't have any bandwidth caps in Chicago. I guess I'm in a good area where Comcast might actually give a shit.

Yeah, it really varies. In some places you get double the speed, in some you get half of what you paid for.

Why is your upload speed so potato? My ISP's similar tier is 50/30, which is awesome for hosting game servers and websites.

I have a 300GB data cap and it is common for me to go over it. We also pay for 50/10, yet we get 70-75/12.

Normally I get 45/10 so this is a nice surprise :)

Yup...

One of the largest partys, the CDU, wants to get at least 50mb down for everyone by 2018.

They'll never be able to do that.

The worst thing is that Frankfurt (a city in Germany) is the biggest datacenter in europe and there you can get over 300mb down...

At least all of our connections are unlimited.

I thought the same until I started watching more US-American YT-videos.

And for now we won't get those limits in Germany, but that b*tch of a CEO of T-Com wants to have less internet providers just like in the USA, which is ridiculous btw, so that there is less competition. Competition is the only thing that keeps thos data limits away.

Germany is one of the most innovative countries in the world, but so slow when it comes to adopt new technologies.  <_<

I still think Time Warner is better and they don't have any data caps anywhere. And I average around 500GB data usage a month sometimes 600GB.
