Using onboard, but my headset is so 'meh', it couldn't sound any better on a soundcard or AMP or DAC

I have a steelseries siberia v2 and it sounds noticeably better than on my laptop, especially the Bass is better, I ready comments on amazon, where people claimed that their Siberia sounds even better on a 100€ Asus sound card, but i am not so sure about that.

I'm using onboard audio and it's fine for me... (neither great nor horrible)

Heh, I'm the opisite, great headphones but rubbish on-board sound. Well maybe it isn't that bad but it certainly isn't good enough.

Fun thing I discovered, my laptop has a sound card, and it amplifies way better than my desktop with 5.1 onboard audio. On the laptop I can keep the volume at 50 for good listening volume, while on my desktop I need to turn it up to 60-70 to get the same amount of sound.

My laptop uses a Creative Audigy or something, don't exactly remember it.

Laptop: Intel Core i5-4200H, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD, GeForce 840M

Desktop: Intel Core i3-6100, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD, GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Old mobo onboard sound is bad. Headset isn't great either. I live a harsh life.
