Since I noticed there's quite a few fans of My Little Pony on this board, I figured a thread would be a fun idea! It could be a place to talk about the episodes, share images / wallpapers, or.. well, anything really! 

 

To start off a discussion, who here has watched Season 5, and what's your opinion of it so far?

Tbh I always thought my little pony was a joke of some sort, then I figured out it's for real. Still don't get it.

I teared up at that episode....

but on the other hand

The fandom is about as dead as it could be.

Are you sure? It's actually incredibly active still. Just because forums are no longer spammed with image macros, and there's a lot less trolling to and from the fandom, that doesn't mean that the fandom is dead. My channel alone could be a good reflection that it's going strong. (~400 Subscribers a month.) On top of that, Equestria Daily, the biggest news site in the fandom is gaining about 500,000 pageviews a day. A fandom animation put out in May broke 1,000,000 views within a month of its upload. (1.7million since May 31st.)  :)

 

I could go on, but I'm sure you don't care that much!

I stopped watching it all together after the 4th season and got out of the fandom after some, let's just say, disturbingly wrong people. 

What do they know of England, who only England know?

I know that it's inevitable, but I can tell you for sure that it's not the case. At least not yet. It's going very strong, as long as you're involved in it. You might be getting "life" mixed up with exposure. The fandom has nestled its way into its own little corner of the internet, and has stayed mostly quiet now. This was a gradual changed over 2014, and now into 2015. Plus, we're confirmed an actual movie for 2017, and a sixth season. So whether or not the fandom is around, the show is going to keep going for some time now. I only say this, because that promotes and helps keep the fandom healthy. We just recently had our 100th episode, with the highest viewing numbers the show has seen since the Season Two finale.

MODS: If this is thread necroing, please forgive me. I just wanted to boost the MLP fandom around here.

 

Anyway, I have decided to formally make myself a bronie. I started watching since I was 13 and have loved it. Since my friends don't seem to mind my attachment to the series, I think I can join the herd.
