Posted July 2, 2015 Author Something a little cheaper than a titan x please. I thought about it, but its too much given the rest of the build. Maybe something like a 390x? Or a 980 ti? I'll ask the person i'm building it for, but I'm sure they will say no to the titan x.
 Posted July 2, 2015 If Titan X is out of your price range, I'd highly recommend 980 TI. Posted July 2, 2015 For brute compute capability AMD cards do better. (they just do...) Fury X has highest single gpu compute performance on market by a sizable margin. For the gamers out there... yes amd's architecture is THAT inefficient. This is true, Raydon rips OpenCL a new ass hole, if they don't benefit from cuda, AMD is the best choice. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/451339-help-me-find-him/
