Comic Sans Discussion

comicsansms

I'm not really sure why people hate comic sans. I don't find it hard to read or repulsive in any way.

It looks like someone used baloons to create a new font. I liked it back in the day when ICQ was still a thing. But nowadays its just annoying. As soon as you read something in Comic Sans you know that the person on the other hand must be an idiot and completeley unserious.

who cares...

Comic Sans is funny when big logistics companies put them on the back of their trucks. Like:

Unnamed Logistics Company

Telephone: +27000000000

Email: swag@gmail.com

Unacceptable in nearly any conceivable professional application. For casual use, font snobs (hi) are the only ones who should care.

That said, I work for a shitty small town newspaper for people who struggle to even pronounce the term "sans-serif." I'm not really in a position to talk about professional design integrity at this point.

I would use gmail too, those mail servers suck so hard.

also gmail is easier to remember, since you only need to remember one word and gmail is always gmail.
