280X was never meant for hardcore 1440p gaming, and for 4K ? Are you nuts child ?

Nope, I'm just a man looking to upgrade. I'm not about to start complaining that my HD 3200 can't run crysis 3 at 1440p 120fps.

Okay, I've got my funds together. I'm thinking I'll upgrade my PSU and crossfire r9 390x's. Any objections?

145 degrees? In C, you would be dead. In F, you would still be dead.

I don't think 145 F would be too hard to reach for a graphics card and actually its 62.3 celcius I just did the math for it so I know that my cards run regularly at 65-70C

Why not a 980ti or FuryX?

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case

It's impossible to find a retailer that has the X in stock, I don't know enough about Nvidia card to make an informed choice.
