what is most correct?

salecar3

All of them are correct. EDIT: except for 12pm apparently :P

I prefer 24 though because it is the easiest for me, so I assume easiest for everyone else too (much generalization)

I always say zero. In 24 hour clocks, it never displays 24:00, it always goes from 23:59 to 00:00.

In many countries, like my home the US, it is correct to say 12am. Most of the population uses 12 hour time, but I find it much easier to use 24 hour.

Alternatively, you could always just say midnight, since that applies no matter what.

Plot twist : it's midnight.

But more seriously, if I check my tv guide, it says 00:00, and I tend to agree.

12am/pm always confuse me. I prefer a 24 hour clock.

I see that as the complete opposite lol.

24:00 is wrong, because as soon as a minute passes it's already a new day, that's why we use 00:00.

How about no? 1pm is 1300 hrs, so how can 12am be 2400 hrs? 12am is 1200 hrs. 12pm is actually 2400 hrs.

correction

12am = 0000

12pm = 1200

11:59 in the morning is am, 12:00 is pm, 12:01 is pm

you can think of 12 as a 0 because 0 comes before 1

so 12:00am is the middle of the night and 12:00pm is the middle of the day

I used to be very confused about this when I was younger, but thats what it actually is
