@ These are the ones that popped up for me. They should fit your engine because it's the 5.0 that was used in those model years. But as always, verify the location of the problem first and proceed once you know what's needed.

Have you checked your oil? If you have a mayo looking substance under the oil filler cap, that's where it's going, and it's probably the head gasket. Head gaskets are cheap, but the labour is a killer, lots to remove to get to it and the head needs to skimmed before refitting.

 

If there is no mayo like stuff under the oil filler cap I'd look again at the cooling system.

 

I expect the red warning light and reduced power is the ECU's way of warning you 'too hot turn, me off' and restricting power to minimize engine damage, and not necessarily a sign your engine is irreparably broken.

OK, first check your oil. It could be a possibility your head or block's cracked and it's seeping coolant into the oil. the worst case is both are cracked, best case just head gasket.
