With all the posts that flood the General subforum saying "My budget is XYZ amount of dollars, give me the best system to build"  or "How good is XYZ system for XYZ dollars", I personally think there should be a subforum for all this. This would greatly clean up the General subforum, and could also make suggestions easier for those who recommend stuff to people.

For example, there could be necessary criteria to fill out in boxes before you can actually write down a description for your forum post IE: where you live, general budget, items in need of buying(Just tower or tower plus monitor or everything in one go, maybe checkboxes?) which would make it far easier to make a recommendation.

Vote in the polls if you think this is a good idea, and explain why with a comment!

There is already a subforum for this, its called New Builds and Planning.........................

People are just stupid and dont take the time to actually make sure that their thread is in the correct subforum, its quite a shame.

feels like it'll be too forced, the things you've mentioned that is supposed to be filled as a prologue that is mandatory before posting, but i like the idea, if it is implemented , it should be in there as an optional choice, like the make poll option to the far right,

Details separate people.

I think the OP is talking about some set builds at various budgets / uses.

Unfortunately with people from all over and prices changing / sales / offers these would change constantly.

I think lists of suggested hardware like PSU's / cases at certain price points may be a good idea to help those that actually research.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Well clearly I don't know what I'm talking about LOL. I just assumed there was no subforum for this since there is a post or two like this everyday dumped into the general forums.

Thank you for telling me this, I probably should have checked before making this post and crowding this subforum even more.

I think I'm just going to post a link to that subforum every time I see one of those posts.

This doesn't belong on a forum like this, seeing as PC Part Picker does this already... At least I don't think.

It is a little forced, but it greatly helps those trying to help them out by knowing what we're working with to spec out a system.

Perhaps an update to this subforum would be in order then?

PCPP already does good job for countries its localized with. The rest already know the local shop they will use. The form like approach would be better for that and some other subforums but currently can't be implemented.

Btw. Besides having the subforum already, we have thread for suggestions http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/314050-forum-features-suggestions/
