This is impossible but it is so funny. The guy on my Counrty best website for selling stuff posted this pc: http://www.pik.ba/artikal/7496859/ultimate-gaming-pc/

, and the price in USD is ~5734.16 $, and the guy claims he got 4.9 on intel i7 (doesn't say which one) on some cheal zalman cooler and with poor airflow. I mean ppl cant get to 4.9 with water cooling and he got it on air with no airflow. I just lol'd. Just look at the pictures XD

What do you think guys?

EDIT: GUY REMOVED THE ITEM FROM SALE

either he lied or hit the silicon lottery air coolers while not at all common getting 4.9GHz can achieve it if the cpu is in about the 5% of extremely good cpu's.

4.9GHz on that Air Cooler must be right near impossible without overheating it. Plus, I like how it doesn't say what GTX cards you get.

and the guy claims he got 4.9 on intel i7 (doesn't say which one)

The board is Z87 so could be safe assume it'll be the 4770K :)

Also 64GB of RAM, why when people build the ultimate gaming rig they put in ridiculas amount of RAM, makes me laugh and irritates me at the same time lol

I'm gaming on 4GB of RAM and to be honest it's plenty at the moment, the most I have used is 2.6GB

EDIT: Just been thinking of the RAM, the board and CPU can only go up to 32GB and unless I can't the screen properly I can only see three sticks.

TBH 4GB is too small for me :(, I got 2GB in use by only windows and browser. And I usally have 2 games open at once . . .

Then get some more ;) you could also try closing one game, that should help you.

I was thinking of upgrading but since I haven't really come close to maxing it out I don't see the point but if you need more then stick a little more in

Those articles are about older CPUs, I'm pretty sure Haswell won't come near 4.9 on air. If it does, then wow :p

I was talking about the fact an intel cpu can get to 5Ghz on air and haswell could be possible if you ended up with a golden chip and delidded it.

What OS are you on?

I have 8GB and am using 2.5 -3 without a game running. during gaming I hit 5 some times. This is on Windows 8. Keep in mind that I always have the following programs running:

  • Thunderbird
  • Firefox
  • Skype
  • Steam
  • Foobar2000
  • Teamviewer
  • Task manager
  • Bittorrent Sync
  • AVG Free
  • AI Suite II

So I do have some stuff running to fill up that RAM ;)

I have 5.1 on Ivy, so it may not be ridiculously crazy after all. Although Haswell is damn hot. But only in terms of temperature
