I'm never ordering from Performance-PCS.com again.

I placed 3 orders with them all of which have been screwed up in one way or another. First I placed an order for some cathodes and fans, the fans somehow fell off the final order so I re-ordered them. Minor annoyance, but then the cathodes which were 20 dollars to have them fully sleeved. Came completely un-sleeved. When I called them they said I didn't select any sleeving, and when that happens the by default sleeve them in black. But that's just the thing THEY DIDN'T SLEEVE THEM AT ALL. Also It took me a few days to realize this since one of my guys installed them in a computer without checking. They got crappy with me over the phone and said they wouldn't replace them because I didn't respond within "3 days" really? You only get 3 days? Anyway, after arguing with them a bit they agreed to replace them. Ultimately I didn't send them back because they are wired into some custom switches it was a lot of trouble, and it was going into a active display model... So I don't want to have it sitting with no lighting for a few days, and they refused to cross ship new ones. They also refused to believe me. They demanded pictures, which I sent, they rejected my first round of pictures and made me re-take them.

Anyway that was the first fail. I at one point realized I needed to order even more fans. So I ordered 2 more fans sleeved UV Green. They sent them to me, with black heat-shrink only... Over the entire cable.... Nowhere on the order was black heat-shrink even mentioned. So again, they didn't want to believe me, they were condescending in their emails, required multiple rounds of pictures... Finally they give me a shipping label, I send back the fans and they reply with:

"Your order # ORD-15-04-24-039 has been
Complete: Shipped.

You can check the status of your order by logging into your account.

Received wrong fans back. mk

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]<script cf-hash='f9e31' type="text/javascript"> /* */</script> or by phone at 888-381-8222."

Now not only is that the WRONG order number but the correct order ORD-15-06-10-040 has IDENTICAL fans to the order they quoted. So even IF they are looking at the wrong order number the fans would still match. So they double failed. Also instead of clarifying matters with me they just return ship them without contacting me first so again I have to wait for them to arrive, ship them back, wait again.

Finally I wrote them a product recommendation once, they also responded to that email in an extremely condescending tone. I would love to quote it for you but its been deleted icon_e_sad.gif.

Ill update you guys with any further developments.

UPDATE:

I got "mk." On the phone, she has a heavy I think Russian accent. There was a bit of lost in translation. When she said "Wrong fans back" she meant it as a confirmation that they received the erroneous fans. Letting me know that they made it there. Not that the fans were the "wrong fans". This didn't stop a different anonymous CSA from telling me otherwise.

I don't know, I had a R9 290 PCS+, the RMA was fast enough but they where slow to answer.

You could hit them up on twitter and make them feel bad.

He's talking about the website called Performance-PCs, not the GPU board manufacturer. :P Don't worry, I thought the exact same thing, the "S" after "PC" is meant to indicate plural, but it's capitalized so it's hard to tell.

@Naveronasis Make the last "S" lower case and add ".com" to avoid confusion with PowerColor PCS+.

Wow, what a crappy company. And I was considering ordering LED strips from them for my rig at some point. Definitely not going to now.

Can't say I've had good experiences with Performance PCs either.

I received a set of CableMod cables that had three cables broken, nothing was ever done about it. Neither CableMod nor Performance PCs followed through with a replacement set, no matter how much I bugged either of them.

Customer support has been condescending when I've needed to call them.

Ironically, I enjoyed shopping with FrozenCPU much more.

ive ordered from them countless times now they never screwed my orders up . they even got one that had over 200 items all with different color/sleeves . if you show the slightest of being pissed they become very unhelpful. also with your pictures did you only send 1-2 photos or like 20 since more is better with them and use a very high quality camera  . i have had to send a few things back that  were DOA . but had no problems with returns and had no issues getting cross shipping. also calling them gets further then emails when you have issues

Strange.   Most people seem to have quite the opposite interaction with them.  They have become the Go To company for water cooling parts since FrozenCPU shut down.   It is possible they have had some growing pains because of the increase in business.

As for me I have only had two problems with orders there.   One was a fitting I ordered.   Instead there was a clamp with an almost identical part number.  They rushed me a replacement and told me to keep the original incorrect part.  The second was on the same order and was my fault.  I ordered a double spaced SLI block instead of a triple.  Since I had to buy a new block and they were already overnight me a part they just put them in the same package so I got free overnight shipping on that part as well.  I sent the incorrect block back and had a refund within the week.

It seems to me one of the OPs biggest issues is with them asking for photos of the problem.  I am at a loss as to why this is a problem for you.   Most companies ask for this.   It just makes sense.

Not going to lie.  Something sounds a little off on the OPs part here.   Not saying there were not problems but I get the feeling there is more too it.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

Its not the photo's that were an issue. Its the fact that they are literally 0/3 on getting my orders correct. I paid 40 bucks for fully sleeved cathodes (20 per pair x2 pairs) and not only are they wrong, they are completely un-sleeved. They wont refund me the difference, they didn't want to re-sleeve them because I waited a week to call them about it (but they did change their mind) and in the mean time they were installed and I really don't want to pull them out unless they are going to cross ship me, which they said is not an option.

Also they still have decent prices and never sent me the wrong product... So I would just be careful when requesting sleeves and report issues IMMEDIATELY.

there is one small problem with your pics where is the heat shrink wrap since all sleeve jobs from them  come with it ,even the 60% off ones on products there ditching for space needed

edit that fan if you have more then one for some reason changes the heat shrink/sleeving also your able to only select the sleeving and no heatshrink and it will go thru which is weird , i mainly only  get the extras on 15$+ fans . gently typhoons/EKWB Vardars
