R9 280x Crossfire preforming worse than single R9 280x

Hello everyone,

I have been facing a bit of a problem with my 2 R9 280x's when in crossfire for most games I see a huge drop in fps going from the mid 60's to 70's on one card, down to the 30's to 40's when in crossfire. The games I notice these fps drops are GTA V, World of Tanks, War Thunder, Far Cry 4 and Battelfield 4 with most games at optimal settings. My computer is running on a AMD FX-8350 on a MSI mobo, with a Enermax ETS T40 after market cooler, 32gb of ram at 1600, my cards are a HIS IceQX2 3gb and a Sapphire Dual-X R9 280x 3gb both that are clocked at 1015 core clock and 1515 memory, 256 crucial ssd, 1tb WD black and 2tb WD green all powered by a 850w gold EVGA Supernova. All of this in a Fractal Arc XL with 6 140mm fans. Is there any way I can fix this?

first off that 8350 is likely going to put a bit of a damper on double GPU performance

second, a lot of games do not perform well in xfire.  try a fresh driver re-install and make sure frame pacing is enabled in ccc
