You would expect that a 380X would be a full tonga. Just like the previous series

it's been all show no tell by AMD lately, just release the next series of cards already. too much speculation is just plain irritating.

Well we knew that, waiting for the 380X.

280X was not a Tonga card. The only tonga card was the 285 which was a cut down version on Tonga chip. We never got the Tonga XT, only Pro.

was that put in anything else but MACs?

I couldn't think of any. I only knew about this when someone else in the forum mentioned it to me.

Uh, we all knew this? I thought that was obvious. If there's going to be a Tonga XT, it'll be the 380X. I had no idea that anyone expected the 380 to be a full chip.

ya; wasn't it the 380x which was supposed to be the unlocked tonga?

380 is probably just an overclocked 285 with more VRAM.

+1. As many have already stated, we already knew the 380 wouldn't be the full Tonga. 380X will be the full Tonga. ;)

Awesome MSI is using their TF5 cooler (and why wouldn't they? :P ). This thing is gonna run near dead-silent like the 960's. Cool stuff.

It's not AMD that's leaking information, so they're not really the ones showing. Plus they already mentioned they're revealing their cards on June 16th, which is only 4 more days.

Well I meant it on the X part; X is full chip, non X is cut down.

Mark my words; there will be a 380x and it will be full Tonga. ;)

We've actually already had some info posted about the full Tonga several months ago. I'm sure a quick google search would dig something up about it.

I hope the full tonga is good, I think it would be perfect if it fell in between the 960 and 970.

Fake. According to that "leak", the 390 and 390x are exactly the same card.

IF this is true than the most important number there is the 150W tdp, 40 W lower than the 285 while doubling the vram, very nice.

Edit : Looking at the source, the 390(x) would be at 208W tdp also, again IF true, it would be amazing.
