Would my CPU bottle neck a 780ti?

Hello,

There is a really good deal on a 780ti on ebay in the uk, would my Phenon x2 1055t @ 3.2ghz bottle neck it?

I have a 500w psu so power is not a problem.

I also have a Asus sabertooth 990fx mother board so I am able to upgrade if need be.

OC it past 4.0ghz and it may suffice otherwise yes.

To go past 4.0ghz you need one hell of a motherboard and cooler... and a pretty golden CPU LOL.

Me among other users i can count on five fingers have landed air capable Phenom's that can push passed 4.0ghz safely.

Your chance of a chip this good is probably around 0.5%

The card is £35 and new, no box and loads of them have been purchase already. Being shipped from china. What do you guys make of that? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-780-Ti-MPN-03G-P4-2881-KR-3GB-3072MB-GDDR5-384bit-/171818263309?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item28012aa30d

If I was to get the card and run it with my current cpu would it perform better than my 7950 and get get a cpu upgrade later? FX 8350 maybe?

It wouldn't perform any different because it'd be bottlenecked. If you upgrade to an 8350, it'd be better, but a small bottleneck would still exist.

It may perform a little better but you would get massive lag spikes

He has low rep for someone selling loads of graphics cards. Would the 970 that he is selling bottle neck as much?

Looks alright, but it's stupidly cheap

Yeah, thinking I might just go for it...

he is also selling a 970 for the same price would the 970 that he is selling bottle neck as much? I want to avoid a cpu upgrade as it adds to the cost.

No clue, seems very shady..

Indeed it does.

970 has around the same performance as a 780Ti if overclocked

I don't know this is very sketchy but then again you could just get your money back if it's fake
