Perks of Watercooling besides asthtics

So Besides ascetics what are the pros of fully custom water cooling. Is it worth it? Also how much more of a benefit would I get from getting a maximus vii formula that a maximus vii hero or ROG posedion or ARES instead of Matrix both "optimized for water cooling" Is it more worth compared to AIO same Gfor PU as I think AIO gpu coolers are ugly. Any options similar to the EVGA hybrid? Thank you.

Obviously better cooling than AIOs, and more ability to customize the appearance than AIOs.

The Poseidon cards aren't that great. On air, they cool worse than other air cooled cards. On water, they cool worse than full cover blocks.

Prety much better temps. Cooling is a factor of surface area. The more surface area that is dissipating heat, the better the system will be cooled.

How much more for CPU and Gpu if its like for cpu if its like 3.8 instead of 3.7 for example I don't see that worth and Gpu it has to be atleast 50 extra mhz on maxwell.

you will only mainly see the benefits when heavily overclocking your system. a 100mhz clock increase on a modern cpu wont change much in terms of heat.

100MHz on CPU and 50MHz on GPU is literally nothing for heat output. You won't notice the difference and with GPUs, stuff like GPU Boost 2.0 will automatically overclock the card often more then +50MHz anyways

Really the only thing it's good for it more stable temps a heavy overclock. If you are doing some mid range overclocks and still want silence. A Be.quiet! Dark Rock 3 or pro 3 would be good. Aswell a a Noctuas DH-15 or something like that and maybe replace the fans with the industrial ones if they are ugly and use the CPU cooler ones and hide them say in the h440 the top as intake or something :P
