If Mac os x was available on every computer and had better game support would you use it over Window?

which honestly is already plenty ^^ it's much more seamless than it is on windows and even mac os

I honestly prefer OSX over windows, so I'd happily switch over. IRL Personally if I could set up my PC as a hackintosh with ease then I would, although as a dual boot with windows to play games, and OSX for everything else.

No. it's too locked down to a point where it's annoying. The same with iOS. But it's a personal opinion.

if you really only use the thing in stock state in the first place its not so locked down that its a pain in the ass. But the lack of window snaping shits me. Trackpad gestures are a world ahead of any windows laptop i have ever used though.

We can all agree Yosemite sucks but I'm talking about the pre mavericks era having the best of both worlds aesthetically Mac is is 100x better than Windows 7 but windows has the functionality advantage

Oh I agree, it has it's pros, and when I say pros I do mean it. Trackpads are so badass and practical, I love it. It's more how the system works that get's me annoyed. It's fluent, responsive, reliable and the part about it being locked down is great, means users can't fuck up, it's harder to crash, it's more idiot proof if you will. But for someone like me who is used to more open systems like Linux and partially open like Windows, I feel sort of locked out and I'm a person that likes to tinker with certain settings. Same goes for Android, while I do love it as an OS, I equally hate it.

It's Unix-LIKE.  Not Unix.  There are tons of differences in the kernels.

Still based off of Unix, but not really.  It's pretty much just it's own thing now.

Linux was never unix based. Linux is/was a Unix clone, but never used any Unix code.

I've used a couple mac operating systems (snow leapord, lion and maverick (the newest one, can't remember if that's the name) at my old job and I can say I don't like the OS's one bit. Lots of small things put me of using it and the windows os's are solid imo.

No.  Linux all the way.  Unix is way too outdated, and OSX isn't nearly customizeable enough for me to use as a primary OS.  Linux is super customizeable (you can change LITERALLY ANYTHING) and games often run smoother on OpenGL than DirectX (if they support both).  There is literally no reason to run OSX.

That is true now. Also Apple has destroyed it and made it less useful. I think the main reason people don't use Linux is because they are not educated enough. Imagine old people trying to remember cd and chmod.
