What Knives Should I Start Off With? (Real Ones)

Once my PC build is done I'm going to start getting into collecting knives. It's not because of CS:GO, I just have always like knives, and with me getting a job next year I should have a couple extra bucks lying around. So why not? 

 

I was looking at some M9 Bayonets, I'm not sure if they're in CS:GO. Not that it matters, they seem to be expensive which is understandable. I was also looking at Karambits and Gut Knives.

 

But, what would you recommend? I don't want people saying "You should get a butterfly knife fade huehuehuehuehue", so keep the CS jokes away. Links are also appreciated.

Depends on use cases I suppose. If you're hunter, you'd probably want to get one of those thick hunting knives but if you're just collecting then probably a butterfly.

I'm not a knife expert but most likely it will depend on your location (country/state/etc).

I don't think I'll get one as I will more than likely cut myself. I was thinking M9 Bayonet or Karambit, they are both smexy. The M9 bayonet looks badass doe.

You can get a trainer balisong for fun from Amazon for like $10, I have this one and I pretty much just use it for stress relief. Get a karambit, they make my pp tickle.

Take any knife listed/given here (except maybe another Ka-bar) and you can probably snap it across the back of a Ka-bar.

 

It's literally strong enough, that I can stick it into a tree, and stand my 250-ish pounds on it, without actually damaging the knife.

What's wrong with the Ka-Bar? I don't have one and they look SO badass!
