WCCF Tech | GTX 980 Ti Will Retail for $799 MSRP – EVGA Lineup Pricing

updated OP with official pictures of the EVGA models

Official now meaning not directly from the EVGA site, but from WCCF instead? Hmm

If those prices are correct why even bother with the 980 Ti when a Titan X is just a tad more.

A 'tad' more  :o

It's still around £200 more if those prices are right. And if it really is only a 10% decrease in performance to the Titan X then I'd sooner pick up a 980Ti then a Titan X. Not like I need the extra vram right now, maybe when 4k becomes a more realistic option.

Depends on what the launch price, and UK gouging is going to be like since the reference EVGA one is $799. Just recently OcUK was selling TX's at £799, and if you order from Germany you can get an EVGA one for £769.

If I had to choose between a 980Ti that's 5-10% slower than the Titan X for a difference of £20-50. I would go for the Titan X.

if you would've looked at the links I posted in the OP, you would've noticed they are from EVGA's web domain

Easily added with any editing software. If it's true, it's extremely disappointing, and means it might cost the same if not just a tad lower than a reference TX

$799 in £ is £522, then add the VAT @ 20% that's £626

A Titan X right now is £840 (Inc VAT) from OCUK, around the same from other places like Scan, a tad bit more on Amazon.

So it isn't a £20-50 difference, it's more like a £200 difference.

Did you look at the link I provided? There are more places in the EU to order from than OcUK and Scan.

Hell you can order directly from EVGA, and even then Hardwareversand is still cheaper at £769 including express UPS shipping for the EVGA Titan X.

Also just last week the Titan X was 799 from OcUK.

I also doubt the Ti will launch at a price of £630, I'll stick to my closer £700 ( maybe more with OcUK and SCAN early adopter gouging as always) estimate judging from how the prices have always been.

If I'm wrong, I'll certainly be happy and probably pick up two to see how they perform for me; I doubt they'll be that cheap though.

Thread title should be remembered for future WCCF articles.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?

This is indeed a great example of why people choose not to trust WCCF, considering their pricing info was off by $150....
