Looks great, depending where you are located exterior doors are suppose to open into the home unless you are in hurricane prone areas.

I think their should be two doors between a bathroom and kitchen. At least in the uk.

I separated it with the alcove, I could Always add a door to the alcove

Looks good man! Got a few tips for ya though.

- make sure that there will be an entrance hall or something. That might be handy, otherwise people will kinda step straight into the living room / kitchen area.

- when it's summertime and both of those double doors are open, it might become quite breezy or windy in the living area.

- For noise sake, you might be willing to have sliding doors or some sort to be able to separate the living room from the kitchen and/or the dining room.

Technically wise, you might reconsider the amount of measurements all over the drawing. If you could place them back a little so they don't interfere with the floorplan, that would result in a cleaner look

Ow and about the bar-like table setup in the kitchen, imagine yourself having lunch and looking at a wall two feet away. If you could mirror the table and the barstools, people can have a look in the kitchen without turning around to take a bite of their food  ;)

Yeah, I know there is a lot of measurements, looks kinda messy, but I think it's fine for a school project (I have 100 average in the class)

Ok, I see what you are saying. I'll see what I can do

I think it will be fine, it isn't that it is unreadable or something  :). Btw, now that I'm looking into it, you could remove the door at the bottom of the stairs. There are already doors everywhere around it. But you don't need to. Otherwise, good job man, and succes with the fine-tuning  ;)

Right, I need an arrow on stairs, the door is at the top, they are basement stairs

The laundry room is not backed up to a bath room, this minimizes plumbing costs.

The home office is very small and rather oddly shaped. I would rework that

Also I would ditch the columns and walls between the living room, dinning room and kitchen. Go with a great room concept.

Perhaps add a counter top peninsula where the wall/columns are to increase counter space.

Otherwise it looks pretty decent.

That's really good for sketchup, if you have access to CAD Architecture ore Revit I highly suggest it if you want to do floor plans or design in the future.

Teacher made us use sketch up. I like rhino so much more.

This was my first ever floor plan in sketch up. Second floor plan I have ever made.

Turned it in...

The floor plan is worth 100 points, the dimension are worth 25. This was our biggest project. I'll see how I do

Got a 93 on floor plan, 25/25 on dimensions. I'm good with that.

Now I'm working on front elevation
