Hugely underrated bands?

Hi,

Title says it all. Post the band name, a song of theirs, and why you like them.

 

For me it's Belle and Sebastian. great band. Seriously great band. Their live shows are amazingly done and their songs are just to my taste.

So this is entirely my opinion. Especially since I've had mates blow off these few before, and when they listened to them they changed their minds.

 

Wouldn't exactly call any of those three underrated, they're all plenty popular. :D (And Tremonti is absolutely one of the best guitarists around, Orianthi aint bad either). For me the most underrated "band" I know is Projected Twin (really just the one guy).

Fair point, haha. I guess i'm just going off the fact I find it hard here to find their music in the music retailers and it always seems not many seem to know of them lol. Agreed Mark is an amazing guitarist, likewise Orianthi, she's also a really nice person and great to her fans :P

 

Actually when I think about it, there is a few bands which seem to fly under the radar and 2 now no longer exist sadly.

 

-The Mayfield Four, Myles Kennedy's pre Alter Bridge band whom I thought had so much potential but Myles decided to stop after their second album and take a break, this was a few years before he joined Alter Bridge.

 

 

-Beautiful Creatures, DJ Ashba's band before Sixx:A.M./Guns N' Roses. I thought their first album (in 2000) was just pure awesome, their second album a few years after DJ parted ways with them was kinda meh.. It seems after that they kinda just vanished.. Shame, but nothing lasts forever.

 

 

Team Cybergeist, ex-drummer of Dope, he started it back in '06 or '07 I think.. Any way, their first album he collaborated with over 60 musicians from various bands big & small he had either met or played with over the years, he's a super nice guy and so genuine, he's all about the fans & involving them as much as possible in whatever they're doing.

I know him, he used to hang around with Cory from SMP Films. ;)
