- create an ISO from the disk

- download https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool and run it

- finish ;)

Be sure to use an USB 2.0 drive. I spend 2+ hours to do it with an 3.0 drive and wasn't successful. Bougth an 2.0 one for 6 bucks and within 5 it worked...

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

if you update the usb 3 firmware in the bios file...it might fix that problem for you

tho its not simple thing to do

Microsoft Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool has worked flawlessly for me every time.

It's simple and straightforward. Only problem is you need a Windows 7 ISO file, which is no longer distributed for free by MS.

CPU  5820k - 4.0GHz @ 1.27V  |  MOBO X99-Pro  |  RAM 16GB Ballistic @ 2133MHz  |  PSU HX750i

 COOLING  Kraken X61 - 6x NF-A14 iPPC  |  DRIVES  256GB 950 Pro - 2x 1TB Travelstar - 1x 1TB WD Black

GPU  EVGA GTX980 SC |  CASE  R5  |  OS  Win 8.1 Pro  |  MISC   Cablemod C-Series White Set
