Does my PPD seem right?

I recently got a 4690k and 970 and I'm getting 240000 PPD, is that normal for those specs? I was expecting at least 300000.

It doesn't matter that much as I used to have a FX4300 and 660 with 9000 PPD lol.

Wait until you finish 10 WUs. Also if you aren't 10% into your WU the numbers aren't accurate.

24 fps for that "cinematic" feel

After a couple weeks of behavioral sciences at my school I can easily conclude my parents need to grow up.

Depends on what Folding core you're on. I have the same CPU and GPU and I get about the same PPD.

You're a poor unfortunate soul.

How do I know what core I'm on?

Okay, it's probably done about 6 or 7. When it started, it was at like 15k PPD.

It's under "FahCore" in the selected work unit box when you select a work unit from the queue.

Interesting.. I'm usually getting around 290k PPD on 0x17. Is the folding power slider on full?

Yup, estimated PPD is 239973 for GPU and 2820 PPD for CPU.

Maybe your system is throttling.

Sounds right to me. Everyone keeps seeing these crazy PPD numbers posted on overclocking forums and then don't understand why their numbers are so low. The idea that a stock 970 could achieve 300-350K PPD is a fantasy. A stock GTX 970 will achieve an average of 220K PPD, maybe 280K on a good day.

Yes, any more than 200K for the 970 is good.
