reliable and cheap PSU

I need to know what are some PSU that are reliable and cheap(efficient).

I was thinking of Corsair CX500 but lot's of people told me to stay away from corsair CX series.
I need one with 500-600w

Corsair rm line is much better than Their cx line. Seasonic has good all around look at evga, seasonic, xfx, antec, bronze or better and pfc active is a must.

For $3 more than the CX500W, the 550W TS XFX made by Seasonic is the way to go.

Not much better. Performance is barely better if not worse in some cases.

should be a newer model of rm, read a review up it, not really better as far as ripple but, it has better caps in it.

I know, the Chinony ones performed even worse then the CX. The newer CWT models perform better then the CX but not by a huge margin. The extra you're paying for is the full modularity, extra efficiency, hybrid fan, and of course, the higher end Corsair branding.
