I am pretty sure that is over $150

Oh damn I need to read closer sometimes.  Thing is I thought in the video on Vessel Luke was saying this was to be a mainstream drive and so I thought it would be priced reasonably.  Sorry to the OP for steering them the wrong way with my initial post.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

No, the samsung 850 evo drives are a lot faster than intel 730 series, especially the 240GB 730 SSD which has horrible write speeds

But intel has better reliability and endurance, as well as speed consistency with the 730 series

They also use MLC nand which is better

NEW PC build: Blank Heaven   minimalist white and black PC     Old S340 build log "White Heaven"        The "LIGHTCANON" flashlight build log        Project AntiRoll (prototype)        Custom speaker project

Spoiler

Ryzen 3950X | AMD Vega Frontier Edition | ASUS X570 Pro WS | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB | NZXT H500 | Seasonic Prime Fanless TX-700 | Custom loop | Coolermaster SK630 White | Logitech MX Master 2S | Samsung 980 Pro 1TB + 970 Pro 512GB | Samsung 58" 4k TV | Scarlett 2i4 | 2x AT2020

Intel is more focused on reliability rather then speed, outside of the 750, because that's out of context with the $150 budget.

the only intel SSD under $150 and 250GB is the 730 series (and older of course)
