oculas rift PC requirments.

Oculas Rift has just released their minimum pc and gpu requirments for best viewing  https://www.oculus.com/blog/powering-the-rift/

My game of choice is Star Citizen which in its self has hight gpu/computer requirments. My question to all the learned one here with your best estimation will my current set up be suffecent enought for operating the Oculas Rift with Star Citizen. These are the specs

My rig has a intel i7 3820 3.60 Ghz LGA2011 socket with a P9x79 Pro mother board, DDR 3 Corsair 32g 1866mhz
2 AMD 7970's running in cross fire. CPU is cooled by a Corsair H100. GPU's are cooled by a exterior 420 mm aquacomputer radiator  with 6 140 mm fans 3 intake 3 exhaust, each gpu has heatkillers full gpu copper cooling blocks. Game temp is 47 c with no over clocking. All comments and suggestions are welcome. I am a novice when it comes to computer details. By the way also has ssd's for hard drives. Thanks Gary

umm, yeah i do think you rig should be enough more or less, the thing is its different from one game to another, so if you can run Star Citizen no problem now at 1080p you should be fine with the rift.

if your playing 1440p max now with above 60 fps then your pretty safe.

Maybe.. Maybe not..

You have seen the requirements and saw it needed 1 290X for sure.. And you have 2 280X cards.. So.. Maybe?

But than again, it is Star Citizin..

Someone didn't read the full post I see  <_<

He has 2 7970's not 290's..

To the OP, if you can drive 4k @ 90 fps your fine.. tweak your settings to suit (no need for AA at that res really)

Thanks for the in put. Im running 3 IPS 235 LG monitors at 5880x1080 I have tried over clocking the montors with out luck.  Since I plan  using the consumer version of the Oculus Rift didn't see a reason to change the monitors.

With the cooling available I hoped I could over clock if necessary to avoid building a new pc at least for a while. Thanks Gary
