need help with choosing a psu

ninjapants

I am currently looking into getting a new psu, since my gx650 from cooler master is the only thing in my new rig that i have not replaced and it started making some weird noises, blabla problems, not th point. What the point is, i just need a good psu that can handle an overclocked strix 970 and 8350 (4.5ghz+), 6hdds and a couple peripherals (i am not sure how important that information is, i basically just want some overhead) although some room for future gpu upgrades or even sli would be nice. Although a good price to performance ratio is really important to me i would still like a 80plus gold certification, i don't know why...

I'm not asking for recommendations because i am lazy, i actually spent a lot of time searchig for one, it's just that i'm very bad with descisions and as i have never bought a power supply myself i am very confused by all the options available even within one manufacturer's range of products.

Can someone please recommend a (or some) psu(s) that would fit my needs?

altough 500W would be enough if you are thinking about SLI i recommend the evga G2 750W . its one of the best psu`s avaible . if 750W is too much for you get the super flower leadex 650 (basically same quality as the evga one since both are made by super flower) . check a review on jonnyguru http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=370. excellent psus

corsair rm 650/750 is 80+ gold but uses inferior electronics inside and its more expensive. seasonic gold psus are great but they cost a lot more and doesn`t offer nothing over the g2 or leadex.
