So with everyone hassling me to get it I got it. Spent that 17$ which isn't that bad tbh. So I log on. I don't really know anything about the game. Haven't played before, haven't even seen people play. I went on find a game, first thing I noticed is how shit I was at it lol. Second thing was the amount of low life faggots just yelling at each other and throwing out stupid insults. There was a guy with a some what high pitch voice that joined and someone called him a fag, and for the rest of the match I was getting killed like 1-20, listening to these dumbass thick cunt vacuous retards talk shit to each other using terrible insults, and they weren't just joking, they were literally raging at each other lol. It was funny tbh. I don't have a mic though so I can't really talk with anything other than chat.

I don't know, it's the first time I actually played the game so ye.

So overall, the game isn't shit, but it isn't what I expected either. Everyone talks about it like it's the god of games. In my opinion, its OK. Not saying that because I'm shit at it. I'm shit at alot of games that I really like and am addicted to (bf4, I'm pretty bad but still love it). I'll keep playing it for a while though. I'll probably get better if I practice some more.

How do you guys feel about it? Is it your favorite or do you just hate it? Leave some opinions if you please

I have seen many people complain about the toxic community..

It really does seem like everyone on that game is like that (I don't mean everyone... Pls no take offense)

But the game seems fun to learn and git good at

It's essential to just mute everyone as soon as the match starts. Then it's fun. Especially arms race. That mode is chaos and I love it.

It's really choppy on Linux so I don't really play it anymore.

I love it. The community, however, is shit until maybe.... AK ranks?... GN is the most cancerous. I hate them. Russians left right and centre telling me that they've fucked my mum and that I'm not a noob for 1v3 clutching. Apart from that, well, I'll let my 195 hours in 4 months speak.

It's by far my favorite competitive computer game right now. Add me on steam and I'll show you the ropes (LotusCSGO).

If you just hopped immediately into a 5v5 competitive match, then I understand your teammates complaints. It doesn't know where to put you since it has no basis to judge your rank, so you kinda start off as below average and not the worst, and it sounds like that was a poor guess by the ratings system. Also, since it's competitive, some people take it really seriously and will rage if they think you're losing the game for them. The competitive experience is vastly improved when you start playing with friends and teaming queuing up together. I suggest playing some casual to get used to the game, and checking out WarOwl's beginner videos. Here is probably the most important video(s) for beginners since shooting in counter-strike is so much different than any other game:

(the most important priciple is that you will NOT be accurate while moving)

edit: then follow up with this if you want to do more than burst:
