need helps choosing between 970

Hi 

 

i'm looking for a gpu for my new build. 

 

my 3 choice right now are Msi 970 g4(358us$), Gigabyte G1 970(378$us) and the zotac 970 amp extrem(400$us). 

 

but the more i read on the net more a became confused.

 

the rest of the setup will be 

 

i5 4690k

asus rog mVII hero

8gig corsair vengeance pro 

 

 what would be your pick and why ??

I would get the G1 for sure, have you seen its cooler ?

Gigabyte or MSI. Whichever you like better, they are both great cards

Zotac however is not as good

Performance wise the G1 will offer the highest performance out of the box.  Looks like you have a red and black theme going on now, so the MSI 940 G4 will match your color scheme.

All 970 have almost the same performance. It's just about taste and which company you like better. Personally I would pick MSI because of it's good track record and popularity

MSI was scolded by Nvidia not that long ago about doing things to the cards that Nvidia said no to and so I won't recommend them.  As for Zotac I liked the one card I had by them but I would not pay more for the card than a Gigabyte card.  The G1s from Gigabyte are often the most recommended and I have had so many good products from Gigabyte so I would recommend that to you.

Is it possibe to OC the msi at almost the same performance of an OC GB or it will always have a noticable diff between the two ?
