Heaven Society - Week 44 (Bakuman)

How many of you actually watched it? I just finished bakuman. I have to say,

it went above and beyond my expectations. The story is alot more well done

than what i expected, it just kept getting better and better, it grew on me up

until the end.

Sure, some characters were overwhelmingly bland. Well, i'd rather say they

were oversimplified to induce a specific reaction, the target audience is

probably fairly young. But overall it was unexpectedly nuanced and well done.

The ending didn't feel satisfying, but might partially be because i could have

watched another season or two. Niizuma Eiji is one of my favorite characters

so far. But i have to say, i hated what they did with Toru Nanamine. Again with

the oversimplification to portray him as a villain.

I haven't watched it, but i read the manga, and hence i know the complete story :)

Yeah, Tooru Nanamine was an awesome character (if he's the guy that made a corporation of making manga's). His ending was too abrupt... Oh well, great manga nontheless :) Although i still want for Eiji and that +Natural author to end up together :D

Taking this from a anime perspective, i don't think that part about the corporation was mentioned.

But seeing his approach that might very well have happened. As for Aiko, aka +Natural author.

Seeing as she is pretty much portrayed as a empty shell and childish, whimsical brat i wouldn't

want her ending up with anyone. Particularly Eiji. I get the impression the anime might have gone

overboard, and ended up falling short of the manga in a few aspects. But then again, manga is

more open to interpretation.
