All the problems were only on launch date when everyone was rushing to dlownload. It should be good (I had no problems downloading from launch date)

I bought the physical discs. No issues installing it. After you instal it from the discs it has to download additional 5GB, and after that it searches for any updates and installs them. And that is it. I bought mine in Muller and it was the preorder version so i got 1.200.000 in game money with it :D...and i didn't have to preorder it hehe :D

Although I must say that the install process is extremely long when installing from discs...I bought a hard copy only because I like CD's (vintage value :)), For fast install I recommend you buy a digital copy

Pre-order DVD version, got it on launch day. No problems installing, but it does take a long time. About 90 minutes to complete.  After that it's a 5GB update, but if you install it now, it will have more updates. The 5GB was the biggest one, rest of them updates is like 300-500MB or so.

I see. The patches are actually my problem right now. It wouldn't download, when I'm at 80% - 97% to completion, the downloading stops. That 5 Gb is a big pain in the a** if the download server always gets disconnected for no reason.

That's really good to know, I'm still really frustrated though, I've been downloading this patch for more than 5 days now since I bought the disks. *sigh*

Rockstar's customer support doesn't help either. Didn't even reply to my email and ticket.

I don't know about that. The shops are 5-10mins down the road from me but the game is 60GB and my internet speed is ~8Mbps so the inconvenience factor is nothing. The disks were a pain because I had to physically be there to swap them out but I worked out I was doing it at about 40Mbps for ~6hours. But if I was to download it I'd be doing so at 8Mbps for ~20hours and I'd tie up my connection for all that time. No brainer.

Also the disk copy worked out to be about $20 cheaper so there's also that.

Fools think they know everything, experts know they know nothing

I've tried downloading it again, and now I'm stuck at 2.90Gb/5.04Gb. The download speed is literally at 0 bytes/second. Any ideas?

Interesting, I'm now able to reach 5.03Gb/5.04, and it's stuck there. I'm worried that there is another patch after this.
