From a scale through 1-10 how desperately will I need an XBone controller?

So most people have  xbone controllers when there playing witcher, batman, mortal kombat x. I want those games so how much will I need for the controller?

is it on a PC?

then you don't need a controller.

unless you just want one.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

6 or 7. Games are completely playable without it, but some games are meant to be played on those, and probably will have a more enjoyable experience if done so.

Something I would spend 20$ on when I have money.

I'd put it at a 7 if you don't play racing games, 9 if you do and don't want to drop a significant amount of money on a wheel.

You could also get the 360 controller, they're pretty cheap now (maybe like $25-30.)

about $60

Cut that in half and you have a proper amount for a decent controller.

If you're used to console gaming it will be nice to pick one up especially for the games you mentioned, but I wouldn't say it's 'needed'

Although I would recommend a ps4 controller over a XBone controller if you have bluetooth on your PC, because they can actually be used over bluetooth where as the xbox and the ps3 control need to be plugged in at all times.

Just get the shitting generic controllers from Gamestop, equally as good, but the grip isn't as satisfying.

1 you will never "need" one. Sometimes you might want to use one, I know I wanted to use an xbox controller when I was playing assassins creed.

You don't even need an Xbox One controller, you can get a cheap wired 360 controller, but you'll never really NEED one unless you play racing games or GTA in some circumstances. I own an Xbox One controller but I hardly ever use it, only for games that play better or are meant for a controller.

witcher was always pc first, and in the 2nd controls on keyboard were excellent. Batman will probably work just fine as well, i havent had any problem in the previous titles(then again i chose to use controller just for the sake of being able to lay back in a couch). And most fighting games work just fine on keyboards as well. Honestly the jankyness of the joystick/dpad makes it messy to pull up combos consistently.

Was in the same predicament as you, bought a Xbox One controller last week.

It was far more enjoyable for me with the controller for those particular games.

You don't NEED it, but it sure made it more enjoyable for me with certain games.

Ori and the Blind Forest, Bastion, Batman and Mortal Kombat are the ones I tested with the controller.

In general (for the average person) I'd probably say a 4/10, you don't need it but it's good to have anyway. For me though, it's a must have, some games are just better with a controller, and some are just plain horrible without one.

I've heard Joker Productions on his video on his topic says I'd never play a plat former without a controller. Also I feel like fatalities are easier with a controller.
