That you have to buy separate for a stupidly high price.

Some 360's came with a headset.

Also the Ones headset is going to be almost double the price.

also isn't this better to drive gaming, because people will explore better 3rd party headsets which will make them more competitive?

well i've heard having a proper headset makes you a better gamer anyways

True but I can't imagine the majority of xbox "gamers" care that much about buying an even more expensive 3rd party headset.

Its just money grubbing plain and simple.

I dont think the ps4 includes a headset either, but at least they didn't purposefully block the ps3 headsets from working just to get more money like xbox does.

PS: I'm not interested in either console and will only get one later down the line when they have reduced in price and if the exclusives of the PS4 warrant getting one.

playstation did block it u know have to buy a completely new headset as they make u plug a stupid cable into the controller now like the x360 and the xone wheres with the xbox one there will be adapters for x360 headsets i bought astro a40s for my 360 and turtle beaches yea that was one of the worst decisions i ever made if i could do it again i would have bought the astro mix amp and sennheiser 598s but people on consoles dont appreaciate sound quality they see the latest thing from astro ,triton or turtle beach and think its the best its really frustrating especially when my gf is one of them.

Unless you got the basic edition of the Xbox 360, you got a headset for free.

The PS4 will include a mono earphone piece for free, like the ones with smart phones.

You can still use wireless and Bluetooth headsets on the PS4, just like the PS3.

Also, those headset brands you listed do have nice quality, sure they aren't the nicest thing, but they are practical.

Also...Microsoft has talked about an adapter, but they haven't said ANYTHING about it, just that there might be one.

that would be because the PS3 just uses a Bluetooth headset....

I heard they are still discussing whether or not to include a mic in with the xbox.

My take on everything is every single thing is still up in the air and no one knows what the fuck is even going on.
