Trouble playing media, keeps repeating.

I'm having trouble playing media like music and videos on my system. Anything that uses a program (VLC, Foobar,) has this problem, videos and music on webpages aren't affected. They work fine after having the system powered on then randomly start to cause trouble.

 

So the problem is the media (video or music) starts to repeat itself from the beginning for like the first second or so. It's like a broken record effect. I don't really have an idea what caused it, it just started happening one day and I'm fed up with it.

have you tried playing the media file on an alternate player to make sure it's not a fault with a file. if not then you should try that and if that is not the case then you should re-install the VLC media player and then try. or maybe it might be something as simple as re-opening the player or re-starting the computer.

It happens on all programs that can play videos and music. The files are fine. Only way I can get them to play fine again is to restart the computer.

You haven't made any tweaking with your RAM? Had same problem(only with VLC) when the timings were off.

No tweaking at all. Just set them up with the xmp profile that was on the mtb.

Use something like LatencyMon to check the Audio Buffer. It it's getting full, we have a problem.

So it looks like we have a problem.

Here we go again.. I hate dealing with DPC Latency issues xD

Let's start with the basics, re install any drivers.. Ethernet, audio, video, any peripheral that is not essential, and then run LatencyMon again after a reboot. 

I notice you're running crossfire... That was my issue when I dealt with it. Remove one card and test again.

I'm actually not running crossfire anymore, change to a single 780Ti a few weeks ago but it's not the cause I'm sure of it.

Did you fully uninstall the AMD Drivers?

I would use Display Driver Uninstaller to get rid of both AMD and Nvidia drivers, and then install the Nvidia drivers from scratch as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the time I installed Nvidia sound drivers. I already have sound card. Same thing happened. Got fixed after uninstalling nvidia sound drivers.
