Hey, in an online Myers Briggs test thing I say a question that said: Do you value justice over mercy?

Just wondering people's thoughts, justice or mercy?

 

On the test this all the question said; nothing to elaborate on.

Kinda weird topic, but ya depends on the situation and what happened. Like if someone stole my cardboard box then it wouldn't be a big deal, but if they killed my family that's a different story...

If the question is "Do you value justice over mercy?", shouldn't there be an option for "I don't value one over the other"?

Any informed sense of justice is merciful. So justice.

There's a time for mercy and there's a time for justice. Mercy follows people who are sincere and acknowledge what they have done is wrong. Justice follows people who believe in what they did is right, IMO also people who don't care, but the rest of the community feels that its wrong, there by punishing the individual.
