GPU Fan

Go to solution Solved by spwath,

So have air come into the case from the bottom of the case(from outside in)?

You should bring air into the case to feed the GPU, the gpu BRINGS Air out

i have a Galax (Galaxy) GeForce GTX 980 and i don't know what way the fan spins, Does it blow out are or suck it in and blow air out the back of the case?

I'm Asking because i want to know what way to install the case fan on the bottom of my case

All GPU/CPU fans that I'm aware of exhaust. If you have two fans on a CPU cooler then one is usually intake.

what???

wtf?

the only GPU that has fans that exhaust out the front is the dexil13 dual 290x

all gpus have fans that suck air into the heatsink

then the air flows through the heatsink and out the sides

GTX 980 V2 4GB

It sucks ( lol ) air in and blows it out the back .

To help , point a fan with the airflow directed at the GPU fan

GTX 980 V2 4GB

IT will blow air into the heatsink.

So suck air from the case into the gpu.

are you talking about the AXC 2.0 cooler?

because those are just backwards swept blades, they are not pulling air

I was also confused about this, how does the ACX cooler work? Not the 2.0, the original one.

I have two of them in SLI and they cook each other. How does the airflow work? Where do they pull air from and where do they exhaust it?

they pull air from the front, where you can see the two fans

the air comes out all 4 sides, and heat radiates from the back (where the backplate is)

you're welcome :)

if your GPUs are close together (two slot PCIe spacing) they can heat up a lot
