cant you rma the monitor? i thought most companies allow rma's whenever there is a dead pixel.

Only if there are a couple of them. Unless you get pixel perfect warranty (which is an additional cost not everybody offers), then something with 5 dead pixels or less won't be replaced.

That sucks, I'm glad that the 1080p monitor I got not too long ago doesn't have any dead pixels :3

 

 

general rule is you can't RMA it unless it has three or more dead pixels.

the current list of dead cards is as follows 2 evga gtx 980ti acx 2.0 , 1 evga gtx 980 acx 2.0 1600mhz core 2100mhz ram golden chip card ... failed hardcore , 1 290x that caught fire , 1 hd 7950 .

I have a dented pixel because I threw a controller at my monitor by accident, you think you feel bad? Yours wasn't by your own doing.
