Why everyone says to me get i3 4160 on LTT

And everyone on internet says it is heavy multi core game go fx 8300 or 8320 or 8350...

 

 

So should i get fx or i3...

I3. Find some benchmarks, the best amd CPU at 5ghz performs as good as an i3

A lot of people here hate FX processors, but the i3 will perform better in more games. Depending on the tasks you run, the FX could be a better choice.

I am really scared running gta 5 with i3 4160 it is really cpu demanding.

The game is VERY demanding when it comes to CPU's

the i3 would be better here even though it has less cores.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

The i3 4160 seems to get as much fps as the FX 9590.

Because LTT knows its facts and random internet doesnt. The i3 will run just fine. If you're scared, pay $165 for the cheapest i5 and you're set. 

 

The AMD in comparison are ok but not as good.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

I will only play crysis 3 BF 4 Gta 5 and those games support better more cores.

please dont use i3 for gta 5 i have intel i3 and gtx 970 there is a lot of lag

I run it with an i3 4330. Runs very smooth and nice, though it's nearly always maxed out.

I don't always have time to study, but when I do, I don't.

i3 is better in the majority of games and is cheaper all things considered. People saying FX is flat out better for gaming either don't know any better (can't blame them, at a glance the FX8 seems like a much better option) or they're biased.

Its your 970. Tons of people having issues with 970's. May be a memory leak.No fix as of yet.

this forum is full of fanboys and people that just believe what they hear without testing themself, ask on the jayz2c, overclockers & bit tech forums and see what they say, i hardly doubt they are ALL idiots that know nothing about tech..

theres been several tests sayign ag3258 beats an i3, and i3 matches an i5, a 4790k is no better than an i5 and everything is better than amd....so what a g3258 is effectively better than my fx8? i dont think so i have both and the g3258 is just a bit of fun but weak, the 4690k is a good chip but overpriced (sorry but ive tested it, it just is, its 4x the price of a g3258 for 2x the chip).

if you look at the cinbench r15 results intel hasnt improved much since sandybridge, a typical 95% limit overclocked sandybridge is within 5% of a 95% limit oc'd haswell.
