In all seriousness, I haven't encountered this yet. Im using the beta driver. Been playing the game for the past days. Max settings, MSAA(4x)

I have had a bit of artifacting, but it's only like 1 frame every 10 minutes, the only issue I have is crossfire basically not working. I wonder how the other AMD cards are fairing up against this game...

I'm kinda curious how my old Dual Radeon HD 6950 2GBs setup would fair, considering I have multiple games where my dual 6950s will spit out more frames than my dual 290s

Doesnt happen in 290(x) gpus , only for older çards in the 7xxx series or rebrands.

What setting do you guys have for anti-aliasing in CCC?

You could try fiddling with adaptive anti-aliasing or setting it to edge detect or w/e.

Usually fixes shit like this.

4K // R5 3600 // RTX2080Ti

This is a problem I have too , i thought it was just me .

If you use MSAA with AMD cards on this game even on the lowest level your game will either crash or start artifacting.

This persists with the latest AMD drivers.

FXAA is the only way to play the game decently , sadly if you own a AMD GPU.

This happens with the new AMD 15.4 beta driver.

Doesn't Happen with the 290(x) GPUS .

I've had multiple issues in the past with AMD cards and AA, it's why I've tried Nvidia for my last few GPUs.. Sad to hear they still have issues with it.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Quote or @dzzope to get my attention..

I'm using a 280X over here, without some form of anti aliasing it almost looks as bad as when I had my PS3 plugged into my monitor.

Seems like newer architectures work fine though.

i know my 270 had artifacting issues on its own. it might not be only a gta 5 problem. the memory chips werent really cooled properly and they were often shipped over clocked.

Happens on 280 and 280x cards as well , its either a game or a driver issue.

I've got a 7970 and ran teh game before getting the AMD beta driver, and sure enough with or without MSAA enabled the artifacting was there.  Once I had the beta driver installed and only use FXAA, the artifacting is gone.

Rock On!

Is this considered artifacting too? 2015_04_16_00003.jpg

2015_04_17_00003.jpg

Problem is this happens to me whether I turn on MSAA or not.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I'm using a laptop, M290X, and the 15.4 Beta driver.

This is the news section not the troubleshooting or PCgaming one. Just because it's GTA it can flood any forum, it's infuriating.

With everything on the loswest settings and 720p resoloution, the game still runs slow as fuck for me and loads textures very slow. I blame it on my CPU, but after reading this, it might as well be an issue with both GPU and CPU.

wasnt gta v's minimum requirements a quad core? I didn't even know a dual core could run it

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place

Oh I see. Is your's as bad as mine? It's so annoying, one time I crashed into my personal vehicle which was on the mini-map, but invisible.
