Posted April 16, 2015 After buying a new SSD and doing a fresh install of windows 8.1 I noticed one of my drives was called system which was a 10GB allocation with a WinRE.Tag file inside. Can I get rid of this partition. I believe this may of been created by my old SSD which is still in my system but has not been formatted yet. Posted April 16, 2015 when you installed the new OS you should have deleted all partitions before continueing. i'd say delete it and expand the other partition. We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.
 Posted April 16, 2015 ~snip~ Hey CamzoUK, It is recommended to format the whole system partition of your old drive not to cause problems or compatibility issues. I would suggest formatting or deleting the partition and merging it with the already existing one. Captain_WD. If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^WDC Representative, http://www.wdc.com/
