I'm not entirely sure how modding will work in this game. Does online and single player use the same assets, If so what if you want to replace a car in game for a new real life faster one, this will also replace the online version of the car won't it, thus creating an unbalanced online game which I'm sure R* will not allow.

I could be wrong...

I don't think we will be as free as we where with GTA IV. 

Well that was the main problem with modding in GTA IV, you could replace all the stock cars with faster more detailed ones, but the game detects you have mods and you won't be able to play online. In GTA IV you could use mods in party game mode, but in any of the other modes you won't be able to enter a lobby, Hopefully there will be some online servers in GTA 5 that will allow mods and that would solve the problem of having to re install your game every time you want to play online.

Pretty much, you can enter into private lobbies with mods but as soon as the game starts GTA will just crash instantly. The lack of mod support online was really the only thing I hated about GTA IV and is why I never really played online, because every time I wanted to play with friends I either had to re install the game or restore it from a backup, which took ages.

 

I hope so.I don't want to have to choose between modding or online play.

Agreed, they will have to find ways to regulate modded servers though, otherwise people will just use scripts to spawn any car or weapon, or even fly which could make playing on a modded server not much fun at all. Even if they don't have modded servers, I will probably just play online until I get bored and then just spend all my time modding in single player.

I recommend you keep a backup on a second hdd of the game to be safe. also if its anything like GTA 4 it is an absolute bitch to mod.

May we not have to deal with the infamous taxi "bug" in GTA5 like we did 4

I will probably be fine without graphic overhauls, although we have yet to see what they may look like

im a car nut having rl cars in GTA adds so damn much to the exprence for me

Is GTA V cross platform? I know you can do PS4, PS3, Xbox360, and XboxOne all together but what about PC? I read somewhere that the amount if data from servers was like 5 Mb/s and the consoles was 2 so it would be a problem. Any ideas guys?

Is GTA V cross platform? I know you can do PS4, PS3, Xbox360, and XboxOne all together but what about PC? I read somewhere that the amount if data from servers was like 5 Mb/s and the consoles was 2 so it would be a problem. Any ideas guys?

I still have a sealed copy of GTA V for Xbox 360.  Will someone bloody well please buy the thing off me on the classifieds?  :S  I liked it for console when I rented it and played it but I want to play it for pc.  Why do I have to be stuck with this sealed copy of GTA V for Xbox 360?  There has to be someone out there that wants to play it on Xbox 360.  

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S
