AX 860i Sufficent for this build?

CPU: Intel core i7 4960X Overclocked to 4.4GHZ

RAM: 48GB DDR3 1866

GPU: 2x ASUS Strix GTX 780 6GB/R9 290X 8GB

Storage: 1x256GB SSD + 4x 1TB Drives

Motherboard: ASUS X79 E-WS

Case: Cooler Master HAF 922

 

I may never get this build done but it was kind of what i'd have wanted to go for if i had to upgrade :) i was just curious if the PSU would cope

You'd probably want a 1200-1600w PSU for that monster of a PC..

what is the point in this PC ? and seriously 48gb ram ? WHY ?! ?! I've seen massive structural AutoCAD designs not getting close to that.

What? No, you're so very wrong. The system doesn't even draw 700 Watts under load.

Correct me if I'm wrong - But OP wants to run two 6gb 780s, 2 8gb 290s, 4 HDDs, and a 4960x? That would only use 700 watts?

Think he means ether 2x 780s or 2x 290's
