Jawohl. Mother tongue? we're talking about the fatherland....

I'm assuming english is your native language. You're going to have to learn a whole heap of grammer rules that are actually in english, but we have so many exceptions that it'll take awhile to recognise them. Then it's just a matter of practice.

Learning German is said to be easier than learning English for example.

But both have their cons and pros. My sister was able to get to B2 in like one and half year, that's what I also plan to do, since my English is C1 level/ILEC level, it's logical to step up the game with another language.

I love German :D I once tried to learn German, Learned a lot in two days. I also have a partner that knows some German as well. In my experiences, it isn't that hard, but it really matters how determined you are to learn it. Also, I hear that English is a Germanic language. I don't know if that makes it easier or not, but yeah...

It depends how closely related your own language is?

Are you Nordic? Easy

Are you English-speaking? Moderate

Are you French/ Italian/ Spanish/ Greek? Challenging

Are you Fenno/ Ugric/ Slavic-speaking? Hard

Are you Asian? Infuriating

etc.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

German is the easiest language on the planet to learn.  Let me demonstrate.

English:  I am driven by a desire to do better.

Rhinlandish:  Das beer uber alles, untz zieberflout faggelein gunter

See how easy that was?   Just throw on the word beer and stuff that sounds like gunter and otto and you are speaking german.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

i wouldnt say its to hard to learn. if you got the ground rules down its pretty simple. although ill admit it can also get pretty confusing sometimes. the biggest problem for me going from russian to german was the pronounciation.

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

Looking forward to learn German is it difficult?

How much time will it take to learn till B2 level?

My dad said it was easy and he speaks fluent German.
