qBittorrent stuck at downloading metadata

jonnyyyl

These couple of months, I find qbittorrent stuck at the downloading metadata phase, and it wont go further.

If I download the torrent file itself, it is stuck at "stalled" as well.

it could just be that there arent any seeders

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Its more then likely due to a failure of DHT. Uninstall qbittorrent and reinstall.

arent torrents illegal?

Nope.

Common misconception. It's what you torrent that may be illegal.

I had this problem before as well. I'm not sure it's the same for you but my solution was pretty simple. When you open the .torrent file and it asks you for a directory, make sure you wait for it to load all the files in the window before clicking the OK button. It might not be the same for you but worth a shot.

usually, if stuck/stalled, the missing pieces are not seeded. just have to find

another file to d/l or wait for seeded participants to complete your transfer.
