How Does My PC Perform In The Metro Last Light Redux

Metro Last Light Redux

Average Framerate: 78.00

Max. Framerate: 183.32
Min. Framerate: 19.39

That is what i got in the built in benchmark

I have a gigabyte GTX 970 and an i5 4690k all at stock

I ran at max settings with no SSAA or motion blur with advanced Physx

In actual gameplay

Underground was usually at 90-120
The lowest that it went to was the mid 50's for a split second and a lot of the time, It was around 140-160

Above ground, the lowest it went to was 65 which was right after a cutscene
during actual gameplay, it never fell below 70

is this good and normal for a GTX 970 and i5 4690k build

I benchmarked the game with Fraps Twice

Frames: 101672 - Time: 1039375ms - Avg: 97.820 - Min: 0 - Max: 169

are my numbers good or bad

Thanks

clearly it does great.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

i don't remember having any problems with the game (similar setup) the 18 fps is just a scene change or something.

No 120 fps is aweful. You need at least 300 fps or you just need to get out.

  • Total Frames: 14482, Total Time: 171.2708 sec
  • Average Framerate: 84.59
  • Max. Framerate: 154.51 (Frame: 11666)
  • Min. Framerate: 11.41 (Frame: 51)

This is my FPS without Physx

This seems to be pretty normal as a guy that I watched got 93FPS without Physx but he had a heavily overclocked 970 and i5 so it seems like my FPS is pretty damn good

Thanks Everyone

Know That I Know My PC performs well, I can actually start playing games

I'm kind of confused about what you mean

The i5 he was using was an i5 2500k but he had overclocked it to 4.6Ghz

CPU's don't seem to matter that much in metro last light

http://www.ocaholic.ch/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=1158&page=11

All of the i5's basically get the same FPS

What do you mean

I will install the game to be 100% BYT

I noticed that you have an i5 4690k and Windforce GTX 970 as well

I know that It's a little off topic but (If you have have it) could you run Unigine Heaven Benchmark or tell me what you got at stock?

I got 55FPS which some said is normal, some said is really good and some have said it's okay but not great

Thanks

You were at stock when you played Last Light, was your FPS similar to mine, Better or worse or the same

Are you at stock now,if you are, if its not too much to ask then could you reinstall Heaven and run it
