I thought it was a 1TB HDD for $29... I leave disappointed.

So tempted to jump on these deals, but with PCIe SSDs around the corner, not sure if it's worth it (since I already have one as a boot drive).

SSDs have better reliability/longevity than a HDD. So it would be worth it.

Yes, but you misunderstood what I was saying. If PCIe SSDs are going to become affordable soon, I'd much rather put everything on one of those since they're around 4x faster than SATA SSDs right now.
