so whats the point in gaming at 4k?

I would rather max settings in 1440p 144hz than have to downgrade the quality just to hit 4k at 60hz. Even the titan X cant run 4k in max settings on AAA titles. Until a single graphics card can run 4k at max settings on AAA titles while not going below 60hz, it isn't worth saying its a 4k card.

Meh.  1080p is fine for now... because this is the year that VR changes everything!  ;)

It's got better image somehow (I don't know if it's just me), it's got clearer image and wider screen making it more convenient to game on (in my opinion). But it's damn pricey.... Personally I'd go with better refresh rates (144Hz) over resolution....

but then wouldnt your fps target be 144 fps not 60 anymore?

I remember when i purchased it i had a pretty decent system but it wouldn't recognize my systems capabilities and kept itself on the absolute lowest settings even though my PC was more than enough for ultra :(
