None, and there won't be for a while. The amount of power required to emulate a PS4(or heck, even PS3) will be insane, so it will be many years before PC processors will be powerful enough.

Emulation is not native, so you need MASSIVE brute force power to do so, hence no PS4 emu, or for that matter a fully working PS3 emu isn't even available.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Thanks, he won't run it on his dual core laptop then if it would be available xD

Not even ps3 emulators are any close to being functional lol.

Are you ok?

Even ps2 emulators aren't that great really. It requires a lot of power to emulate a totally different architecture.

Nope, there is not.

Even no PS3/360 emulator. Give it a few more years

EDIT: only if the console is really similar to its predecessor which already has a emulator, the emulator will come quicker.

Or if the console is not that strong or an handheld. Those come out quicker.

Such as Wii came out pretty quick because GameCube had a good emulator already.

DS came quick because it's not that powerful of a handheld (compared to PC's and consoles of course)

For the record if you are being asked to fill out a survey for an emulator its almost 100% its a scam

There's a good ps3 emulator.

If you wanna play snake

xD
Anyway it was just in the last couple of years that PCSX2 (a great ps2 emulator and a really big project) got polished enough to be enjoyable. Years my friend.

The original xbox had a x86 cpu as well just like the latest generation, and there's no emulator that will do more than show a fucked up screen from a single game. Unfortunately, you'll just have to get a ps4. There's a lot of scam emulators out there, and a survey is a good sign to leave. It was big news when the first ps3 emulator had a playable 2d game aside from homebrew snake, if a functional ps4 emulator suddenly popped into existence, believe me, you'd hear about it.

PCSX2 works perfect on my PC, and my laptop can run things at 25FPS (my really crap laptop)

problem with that is a lot of PS2 games (like my beloved jak 2) are locked to framerate timing wise. You can skip frames and whatnot, but it's messy. BUT if you have a good, maybe overclocked desktop CPU you are good to go. Some newer laptops can do well too, my old overclockable sandy one was almost good enough at 3.8GHz

I lock my frames down, the last time I didnt, the game was unplayable. It was like watching a YouTube video already sped up at 2x speed :P

so your friend is admitting to wanting to commit piracy (unless they buy the game then download the rom)...

not being able to afford something doesn't justify piracy.. I can't afford a Ferrari doesn't mean it's OK to steal one..

if you were offered to test drive a Ferrari ,u wouldn't ?

that would be a different analogy. playing a game and completing it is getting the full experience. a test drive would be like playing the first 5 minutes only.

completing a game would be comparable to owning a Ferrari for a sustained period and then selling it when it's time to upgrade... nobody sells a Ferrari before its left the forecourt ;)

piracy is piracy there no ifs but or excuses. if you can't afford something you go without it. stealing this one game not only puts the devs of the game out of pocket by £40 but also Sony out of a £300 console. thats £340 lost to one person. say 1 in 1000 people download games illegally in this way.. statistically thats £2.38billion lost in a year just because of 1 game. obviously not all 7 billion people play games but I'm sure the number of people that download games illegally is far higher than 1 in 1000 regardless.

if you don't think piracy is bad then you wouldn't have an issue will me walking into your house taking a few valuables and leaving in your car.. same crime different context.

I don't really know much about emulation and such but won't a PS4/XBOX ONE emulator technically not be an emulator? Since they are both on the x86 platform now, dont we just need a way to get the runtimes or dependencies for the games? Or do I have this all wrong?
