The i5 to i7 jump isn't necessary if you're just editing home-made camcorder videos.

However, if you really want it, it is what it is. Luckily for you, there is a Micro Center in Brooklyn. They have pretty damn fantastic CPU and motherboard pricing, so an i7 and board from Micro Center will cost as much as an i5 and the same board from let's say Newegg.

I cannot find anyone who still sells the Cosmos SE, so I replaced it.

You have a fair bit of cash to play around with, so I saw it fit to do an i7 with 16GB RAM, dual GTX 970s and such. You can pull one GTX 970 or replace them both with 290Xes if you want to go that way.

Alright, sounds good. I also saw you already have a Z97 Ranger? You can use the money freed up by that to get a copy of Windows. I would also recommend maybe getting a single GTX 980 instead, this way you have a more open upgrade path in the future.

Ranger is already in the bag bro... ok AMD is not my wife .lol . lets jump in to Nvida ... GTX 980 then ? ok

To be honest, if this was a purely gaming build, it would suck. Around 30 percent of a gaming build goes to a GPU. That means a GTX 980 for you.

if this rig also suck isn't it good for the times when you don't have your girl with you ? hahahhahaahahahahahahahahahahhahahaahahahaha
