Corsair's fans (SP and AF series)

xnoobftw

I am seriously sick of the flipping rubber mounts which requires freaking hercules strength to screw those darn screws into the screw holes

Just a rant but seriously i regret buying these fans (even though they perform well) just because it is near impossible to screw in perfectly (i have 1 sp120 with busted mounts which i cant RMA because it is considered physical damage and another one that is screwed loosely in my case just because i cant screw it in even with all my strength)

FYI i am relatively muscular and even i cant do it (i visit the gym 5 times a week ffs)

TL;DR = **** corsair fan's mounts

I've never had that kind. I always thought they were the easier ones to mount. :o

Yeah I know what you mean one of my AF140s rubber thing broke when mounting the rear exhaust fan. The problem is the included screws they are awful. For my front fans I just used the included case screws and it fit like a glove.

If at all possible, hold the grey rubber pieces as you're screwing. Once the screws are fully seated, loosen them just a touch so that the rubber piece falls back into place.

The included screws do seem too large.

Yeah they are a pain to mouse without holding the corner down with a pair of plyers. Good thing I install fans before anything else because I have small hands but don't like wedging from the inside out :D Use a pair of curved needle noses to hold the back side of the mount down preventing it from twisting when screwing in :D

I pretty much went apeshit on the screwing part xD

My hands are way too big and my 212x is blocking my way D:
